DL & WDW OA 06' - Inform us Randy!

Randy, we are getting very impatient, atleast I am... After seeing the WDW OA tracklisting and now finally learning that some tracks are not what we were expecting in terms of material and or length, many like myself are praying for the DL list to upshine this WDW OA. Please drop us a line on both releases, as we would love to finally here what would be on the DL OA? Or is there even one still coming considering that A Musical History Of Disneyland is still selling strong?

Since Februrary of this year, I have been in contact with both Bruce Broughton and Randy Thornton. My e-mails started off as a Petition for getting a CD released of music by Composer Bruce Broughton. Then, as of June 2006, turned to the New WDW OA and inquiries into wether music by Bruce Broughton would be on it or not, and if so, how much and from what. I had REALLY been hoping that when Randy Thornton told me, "Thanks for your enthusiasm! No need to worry. I've been working on it and we should have results!", that we would have a nicely done, semi-long, track of unreleased music by Bruce Broughton from Ellen's Energy Adventure. But when I contacted Bruce Broughton about the track of his on the New WDW OA, he had no knowledge that any of his music was going to be released on it, or even what it was. So obviously Bruce Broughton had no hand in the release of this music, since he had no knowledge of it in the first place, which also means that perhaps Randy Thornton never contacted Bruce Broughton to have a track prepared for the OA. Bruce Broughton knows that I am very passionate about the music from that attraction at Epcot, and he knows I know alot about it and that I apprecaite it A LOT, he also knows that i've been working hard to try to get this music released and that I really want it and so do others. I was very sad when I was informed that the track on this New WDW OA is the same track that many of us has had for years from the promo Bruce Broughton released years ago on the 2-cd set titled, "Double Feature". I hope that next year we will get more music from this attraction. Because the music for this attraction is very beautiful and deserves to be out there among us disney music fans to listen to over and over again for years to come, or at least I will! Well, if you read this Randy, please talk to whomever you need to or show them this thread and let them know that we want this music released. Bruce Broughton is willing to let it be released, if there is a demand for it. So please talk to Bruce Broughton and let him put a track together for next years official album and cheer the depressed fans of this years OA up over next years OA. Take Care

I think the more likely scenario, and perhaps the more rewarding path to pursue, would be to push Disney to release the score from Ellen via iTunes.

Just for info. I just called Disneyland Delivears to see if the OA for DLR was out yet. I provided the product number Randy gave us and he was able to pull it up on his computer. He said the CD will cost $24.98 and is on the way. He told me the CD won't be out until this
X-mas or January!!! I hope he is wrong.

No, nothing yet. If anybody else calls in, use the product number Randy listed in an earlier posting. The guy I spoke with was able to pull it up in the computer quickly and even confirmed the name. When I called before, they sounded like I was mis-informed. I don't see why WDW would have their new OA already and DLR not.

Maybe Disneyland is deliberately delaying in order to sell through remaining 50th Albums?

I'm really trying to wrack my brain about how there could be 8 new tracks on this 2006 album. I mean the last one covered the current attractions so extensively what could be added. My one guess is perhaps something from Monsters Inc, perhaps the Parade of Dreams. Anything else anyone can guess? Realistically I mean, not "Here's the 50 things I hope Disney puts on CD one day" wildest dreams sort of thing.

Hence my question in post one... I would not be surprised to find out that this is the case. The number crunching and politics involved in certain buisness units of Disney is mind bending, even WDR...

I still want to hear anything Randy has to say on the matter of the DL OA being delayed and or canned?

Randy had said originally that this year would have Splash Mountain with the actual pre-C Lift music - the one with the scarier overtone than the 50th disc set that featured the unused, cheerier Sooner or Later version. Whether or not that happens, who knows as of now.

Otherwise, whatelse is there? Monsters Inc. seems like a no-brainer. It would be nice to see them add something original from Tower of Terror but I won't hold my breath on that. Otherwise there's just not a lot that's happened since.

And I hate to pander to trends but perhaps a new ride thru of Pirates with the 2006 additions to the score? Or Haunted Mansion for that matter. What about a full ride through of Winnie the Pooh with Vocals and SFX?

At DCA I guess there's stuff that could be included that hasn't been covered before. Perhaps a clip from the Aladdin show (easily done since it has it's own CD), or an excerpt from MuppetVision.

Dare I wonder if perhaps a clip of Nemo music would be on there? Since the original debut of the new Subs was Jan 2007, perhaps the music is further along than the rest of the attraction? Even if it was just Score from the film used as queue music.

Oh and I'd love to get that clip of Monorail music that's used in the Tomorrowland loop.

I think that's actually a very good idea. Including Pirates would make me happy - though I sort of have the feeling the album was under production for a lot longer than the ride's reopening. I can't imagine these things are thrown together in a few months.

No, but I suspect that the old Pirates flow through could be taken and the new stuff could be edited in quickly enough. I know some folks who can do great flow throughs in a day or two.

Right, I can as well. But When I do, I don't have miles and miles of red tape I need to sift through to get it approved when I am done. *That* is the real deciding factor.

red tape and legal issues aside 8 tracks could "easily" be assembled ... especially if they count the fireworks as a new track for changing the intro of Julie Andrews.

Also besides those tracks already mentioned what about a new track from the BGM in the waiting area of It's tough to be a Bug? So far only "Beauty and the Bees" has been released and any additional track would have the advantage of being usuable for the OA of WDW as well.

Also the music of the parades of DL and DCA is not yet released.

Oh yeah, no DL OA at the Park as of today.
