DL Submarines/ Tony Baxter Question

Can anyone tell me when the Sub narration that was released on the DL Forever system was put into use? In other words is this the original narration track or an updated version?

The reason I ask is that Eric Paddon and I are debating whether the reference made to "Mr Baxter" is Tony Baxter of WDI or just a random coincidence. Eric pointed out that Tony worked on the WDW 20K subs and that possibly the Disneyland subs recieved a new narration track shortly after this. Just one of those mindless mysteries that make this board so fun. Thanks for any help.

There was a track that played as part of the Disney Gallery's Tomorrowland Exhibit that was narration and music from the Subs, though it was not the familiar narration. I doubted that it was authentic as it sounded too much like the sort of thing that was pulled from one of the Disneyland TV shows (and I have that episode somewhere, I just haven't pulled it out and checked yet). But does anyone know off the top of their head the origin of that track? I know that loop had quite a few misplaced tracks (ie: WDW's Peoplemover music) so this wouldn't be the only misrepresentation.

I have Submarine Voyage scripts for Summer 1959, a revision for 10-1-1964, 06-06-1968, and a 06-1975........I don't what other scripts may have been done for this attraction, but of the four i have the 1975 is the only one with a mention of "Mr. Baxter"

............another interesting thing: The 1964 Revision provids a "tape" ride script as well as a "live" ride script.
Maybe those audio-cartes wern't too realibale in the early days!!

I guess that's the proof then of "Mr. Baxter" being a purposeful in-joke reference to Tony Baxter, if DL didn't incorporate that name until after WDW's 20K was up and running.

Well it's not quite proof, but yes it does lead to that conclusion. I'll continue to investigate.
