DL Esplanade Track

By complete accident I think I may have found one of the missing songs from the DL esplanade loop for those completists out there. I believe the version of Hooray for Hollywood that's being played is from the Salute to Hollywood album by John Williams. I don't know FOR sure, but they certainly sound similar and I guess it would make sense to license a version from Williams since there were already two other Williams tracks that needed to be used.

You can hear a short sample here and then tell me if I'm crazy or not:

I didn't see this listed on the DL Esplanade List on the music loops site, so if this has been previously mentioned - sorry for the trouble.

Sounds aaaawfully close but not sure if that's it. I hear a lot of variations in the John Williams selection that I don't hear in the Esplanade, though that could be because I'm listening to it with 2 speakers right in front of me instead of one in a planter. The tempo is right though. Very close, if not it.

So there you have it.

Hmmm... I was very excited to see this thread, but I don't seem to have a "live from the Esplanade" recording to make the comparison. I would be a little surprised if it turned out to be this version, since it is so distinctive, but I have no way of checking. Just to get this straight, the Hollywod Boulevard version of "Hooray for Hollywood" is not the same as the Esplanade version, right? ???

Does anybody know where to find the Golden Afternoon, Heffalumps and Woozles, You've Got a Freiend in Me, and Just One Dream tracks from the loop? Also, having listened to the aforementioned Hooray for Holywood track, it sounds like a match to me.

Hmmm - yeah funny story about those "live from the esplanade" tracks. I was the one who recorded them. Just after they started playing the new loop I left an old cheap tape recorder over by the picnic area and went into the park for some fun. When I came back I had about an hour of the loop and it cut out RIGHT as Hooray for Hollywood was playing. Originally I was recording them just to get a track listing (which I did) but now I wish I had kept the segment of Hooray for Hollywood.

Maybe next time I go ill make a better recording!

I'm not sure about the Hollywood Blvd song though as I don't have a copy of it handy.
