Disney's Magical Express BGM

Does anyone have any info on the BGM used for the Magical Express bus from the Orlando Airport to WDW? I'd appreciate any info you could give: playlists, sources, etc. When I used the service in December 2007, I heard what I think is the "Fantasyland Castle Medley." My feeling is that the loop uses selections from CD's like Erich Kunzel's Disney Spectacular and Symphonic Suites of the Animated Classics. Both CD's are available on amazon. I highly doubt the selections were specially composed. There are probably also a few selections from the DLR Esplanade and the MK entrance area.

Thanks,

I'm not sure the music was created just for the buses, but they aren't orchestral versions. They sound more like the music created for resort television. Anyway, the entire music loop & video from 2006 is on Rodentsections. I have no idea if the music has changed since 2006. If you have problems getting it from there, let me know.

Just got back from WDW and watched the video on the Magical Express Bus there and back to the airport. I noticed in the video that the castle had decorations from the 50th celebration on it, so I don't think that there is anything new on the buses.

Any update on this one? I was there at the start of the year and loved the Magical Express bus music for the ride to and from the airport. I even emailed Disney to ask if I could get a hint on any of the track titles or if there was a CD. Their reply was a canned "sorry, it's custom music and not on CD."

I remember remarking to my wife that I loved the music so many times that it became her running joke. Did the original post author ever grab his speculative albums and confirm if they had the same tracks on them?

Ya there was nothing quite like getting onto one of the busses from the airport around midnight all excited for my WDW trip last may and then the driver turns on the TV and i'm watching disneyland's 50th anniversary commercial with the disneyland and 50th references taken out.

I vaguely recall also hating the videos. It was the orchestral background music that was great.

I'll try out Rodentsections (I hope I found the right file) and see if it rings a bell. Thanks.

Does anyone remember seeing the VMK tag at the end or is it just me? I'm not seeing it in the source video.

If anyone has the video of the VMK part, it would be GREATLY appreciated.

We were recently watching a WDW DVD from last year (getting ready for our trip next week!)and it had a VMK section on it. Miss that game :(

A little bit of information regarding this post.
  • The tracks are mostly orchestral
  • The tracks "Baroque Hoedown", "March of the Cards", and "Who's Afraid of the Big Bad Wolfe" are from the CD "Disney Spectacular"
  • Although I cannot confirm this, my guess is that the entire tracklist comes from commercially available albums

Was on the Magical Express this morning. Not much to hear on the video. Started with "You Can Fly" . After that music was really quiet. It was nice ride especially as we were the only ones onboard :D

On our way back to the airport Sunday morning I heard these tracks in this order, but I did not hear the complete loop:
It was as stated above "Orchestral".

Minnie's You-Who (sp)
A Dream is a Wish
A Whole New World
March of the Cards
You Can Fly
Someday My Prince Will Come
Chim Chim Cheeree
Mickey Mouse March
It's A Small World
Whitsle While You Work

The first is from Cinderella. I believe it's the title track: "Cinderella, you're as lovely as your name. Cinderella, you're a sunset in a flame..."
