>1. All in the Golden Afternoon- available on the DLF
>system? available on the Tokyo
>Disneyland "Imagineering the Dream" loop?

Yes. This is the DLF/ItD track.

>2. When You Wish Upon a Star - available on the
>1991 Disneyland/Walt Disney World/EPCOT Center
>album? available on the Tokyo
>Disneyland "Imagineering the Dream" loop?

Yes again. Sometimes Titled "Pinocchio's Daring Journey - When You Wish Upon A Star"

>3. You've Got a Friend in Me - available commercially?

I *might* be but if it is, I haven't found it. It's just a straight instrumental of the version from the soundtrack.

>4. Hi-Diddle-Dee-Dee - similar to the Magic Kingdom
>entrance loop?

Yes.

>5. Under the Sea - similar to the Magic Kingdom
>entrance loop?

Yes.

>6. Indiana Jones Theme - from the soundtrack? is it
>edited?

Pretty much. It's the main title theme, but I don't actually have a time down for it.

>7. California Girls - can anyone describe this? is it
>similar to the "Carousel" version played in Paradise
>Pier?

It's not just similar, it *is* the version that plays in Paradise Pier.

>8. Tiki Tiki Room - available on the Tokyo
>Disneyland "Imagineering the Dream" loop?

Yes. This is the latin sounding version, not the instrumental from the Disneyland attraction music.

>9. Hooray for Hollywood - can anyone describe this?
>is it similar to the version on the current WDW album?
>specially done for this loop?

For some reason I doubt it's original to the esplanade loop, but I can't readily recall where else it might plays. I can tell you it's different from the version from The Great Movie Ride and the version from the WDW2001 Album.

>10. Yo Ho - available on the Tokyo
>Disneyland "Imagineering the Dream" loop?

Yep. This would be the second version that appears on the track (the 9th song in all).

>11. I Left My Heart in San Francisco - can anyone
>describe this? is it similar to the "Carousel" version
>played in Paradise Pier?

Nope. It's a jazzy/big band instrumental version of the famous tony bennet song. Again, I doubt it's original to the loop, but I couldn't even begin to guess where you could find it commercially.

>12. Heigh Ho - similar to the Magic Kingdom loop?

Yep

>13. Smile Darn Ya, Smile - similar to the Magic Kingdom
>loop?

Yep. It's from the ToonTown music loop, although it's never been released commercially.

>14. It's a Small World - similar to the Magic Kingdom
>loop? available on the Tokyo Disneyland "Imagineering
>the Dream" loop?

NO! This is actually the attractions exterior queue background music which features the main theme more prominately.

>15. March of the Cards - available on DLF system?
>similar to the Magic Kingdom loop?

This is NOT the version available on DLF.

>16. Mickey Mouse Club March - similar to the Magic
>Kingdom loop?

Yes.

>17. Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah - available on the Tokyo
>Disneyland "Imagineering the Dream" loop? similar to
>Magic Kingdom loop?

Actually no. This has a lot more banjo accents. It's the same version that plays on the WDW loop.

>18. Fantasmic Exit Music - available commercially?
>edited? specially done for this loop?

Same version commercially available on the DL Fantasmic CD, MGM Fantasmic CD, and one of the classic Disney CDs.

>19. Soarin' Over California Load Music - commercially
>available? edited? specially done for this loop?

It's the song that plays directly after the ride ends. It is edited a little, but isn't availabel commercially. You may have some luck finding it on audiogalaxy though.

>20. Be Our Guest - similar to the Magic Kingdom
>loop? "Carousel" version?

Yep. It's from WDWF - Cinderella's Golden Carousel - Be Our Guest. Ironically, it doesn't play ANYWHERE inside Disneyland.

>21. Davy Crockett - similar to the Magic Kingdom loop?

The very same.

>22. You Can Fly - available on the Tokyo
>Disneyland "Imagineering the Dream" loop? similar to
>the Magic Kingdom loop?

Not the version from Tokyo, but yes it's the version from the MK.

>23. Star Wars Theme - available on the Tokyo
>Disneyland "Imagineering the Dream" loop?

Not from the Tokyo track. It's just the basic Star Wars Main Theme which you could pretty much copy from the first 1:14 of any of the opening Star Wars tracks.

>24. Muppet's Theme - can anyone describe this? is it
>commercially available? specially done for this loop?

It's an instrumental version of the Muppet's Theme song. I don't know how else to describe it.

>25. Minnie's Yoo Hoo - available on the 1991
>Disneyland/Walt Disney World/EPCOT Center album?
>similar to the Magic Kingdom loop?

Yep.

>26. Honey, I Shrunk the Audience Theme - can anyone
>describe this? is it commercially available?

Not commercially available. It's a 30 second snippet from the main theme from Honey, I Shrunk The Audience.

>27. How Do You Do - available on the DLF system?
>available on the Tokyo Disneyland "Imagineering the
>Dream" loop?

Yes.

>28. Just One Dream - can anyone describe this? is it
>commercially available? specially done for this loop?

This is the attraction exit music from "Golden Dreams" at DCA. It's not available commercially.

>Still with me? Thanks for reading! Any help is greatly
>appreciated!

No Problem! Actually you might be able to find some of these as live recordings on AudioGalaxy. If for some reason you can't find the live recordings, email me at tongoroa@mousepants.com and ill try to get them to you.

OK, so I feel stupid, but what is this Tokyo DL "Imagineering the Dream" loop that's been referenced in this discussion? I'm assuming it's area music to something, but what is the something? Is this their contribution to 100 Years of Stuff?

Thanks...

Actually, Scott, It's something from 1998 at Tokyo Disneyland.

During TDL's 15th Anniversary celebration, the Disney Gallery in World Bazaar had an exhibit going on called "Imagineering the Dream". It was a look at Disney's theme park history with a big focus on the original Disneyland.

In the exhibit they had a music loop that was instrumentals of Attraction music and Baground music. This loop was included on one of the 15th Anniversary CD's that was released called "15th Anniversary Music 4: Grand Finale" PCCD-00249. It's pretty hard to come by now, but the loop is absolutely great The track is 37:33 long and has stuff that has never been released before like a completely instrumental version of the original "Tiki Tiki Room" song!

Anyway, hope that helps,

Ben C.

Thanks for the info. Of course, now I even feel more stupid, because I actually have that CD, still sitting here in the shrinkwrap. I guess I ought to listen to what I buy every now and again... :p
