Disney announcer question

We focus quite a bit of attention on Jack Wagner here. Just wondering if anyone knows more about the Disney announcer that people of my age heard far more frequently...Dick Wesson, the announcer for The Wonderful World of Disney as well as many Disney trailers. There seems to be very little on the internet about him, other than he committed suicide with a gun and that he's often confused for actor/writer, Dick Wesson.

He was definitely a defining voice for my childhood. Can anyone contribute anything?
