Disco Versions Later Used in "Fantasia 2000"

For those of you have seen the movie "Fantasia 2000", there was a final sequence in that movie was called "Firebird Suite" it was composed by Igor Stravinsky. If you love the final sequence used in "Fantasia 2000", there was a disco version of Stravinsky's "Firebird Suite" entitled "Magic Bird of Fire" by the Salsoul Orchestra. It was released on the Salsoul label back in 1977 and it was from the LP "Magic Journey". This album has nothing to do with Disney, but it has a disco version of that song which was later used in "Fantasia 2000" as a final segment. There were versions of songs that were later used in "Fantasia 2000" are "The Fifth of Beethoven" by Walter Murphy and the Big Apple Band and "Magic Bird of Fire" by the Salsoul Orchestra. There was only one song that it was originally used in "Fantasia" was "Night on Disco Mountain" which was based on "Night on Bald Mountain" used in the final sequence of "Fantasia" before the last movement of "Ave Maria" came along.

I want to hear these two songs that are familiar and it was later used in "Fantasia 2000".

Walter Murphy's track is on Saturday Night Fever soundtrack and the Salsoul Orchestra is on a album called Magic Journey. I just looked that up, I wouldn't know what album random disco tracks are on :p

What movie was that again?

It was from the "Saturday Night Fever" soundtrack where they had "A Fifth of Beethoven" by Walter Murphy later used in "Fantasia 2000" and "Night on Disco Mountain" was also from the soundtrack originally used in "Fantasia". I like those three versions of songs that are inspired from "Fantasia" and "Fantasia 2000" in a disco style. A disco rendition of "Firebird Suite" called "Magic Bird of Fire" was a catchy version later used as the final selection in "Fantasia 2000".

I knew I heard that disco version of Beethoven's 5th somewhere, and it was in the first Leisure Suit Larry game. You know, the scene where he dances in the disco to impress some woman? Heh :D

Sir, I have 25 copies here in the trunk of my car just waiting for the right buyer. Say, you might be the one! Oh, my head hurts.

You know what sucks? They have stopped showing Roseanne and The Cosby Show on Nick at Nite but they show two hours worth of George Lopez show every night.

Yes that was true, George Lopez replaced those "terribly old" shows on Nick at Night last week, but starting in December George is being replaced by the 2009-2010 season of Desperate Housewives.

Maybe George Lopez can answer the age old question of where did you come from cotton eye Joe?
