Diana Ross & the Supremes Sing Disney Songs

I was on the Motown Forever message board the Antceleb12 was posting songs by the Supremes where Diana Ross sang Disney songs. Those are the songs that were featured on the Motown CD "25th Anniversary" which is out of print. The songs that Diana Ross sang with the Supremes were versions of "When You Wish Upon a Star", "Heigh-Ho", "Someday My Prince Will Come", "The Ballad of Davy Crockett" and "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocius". Those songs were never released on Motown but it was originally planned to do a tribute album to Disney music. All of them were recorded in September of 1967, but it didn't make it. I found these songs and thanks to Antceleb12, a member from Motown Forever message board for those rare finds. Enjoy Diana Ross & the Supremes as she sang those classic Disney songs. Enjoy!

For the same unreleased LP "Disney Classics", the Supremes also covered "I've Got No Strings" "A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes" "Toyland" "It Won't Be Long Til Christmas" "Whistle While You Work" and an original song "In the Land of Make Believe."

There may be more that were recorded, but "When You Wish Upon a Star" "Heigh Ho" and "Someday My Prince Will Come" can be found on the 25th Anniversary CD set, while the rest were on the "Unreleased Masters" CD.

Thank you for sharing! What a great find! :)

Didn't Freddy and the Dreamers also record a similar tribute album?

"Freddie and the Dreamers go to Disneyland"

...on CD as an import (part of a 2-LP comp) - - it's fab!

Includes The Ugly Bug Ball, The Ballad of Young Dick Turpin and When I See an Elephant Fly among the more cool and interesting choices!
