DHS Main Entrance Loop - Calling All J.R. Ewing Fans

With the assistance of thx99, the playlist for the main entrance loop for DHS (MGM) is almost complete. Once I receive the OST for "Life is Beautiful" in the mail, I'll have all of the tracks confirmed except one. I cannot locate the version of the Theme from Dallas that is used in the loop, which runs approximately 3:01.

So I'm calling on all you J.R. Ewing fans out there to dig through your collections and see if you can find a match. Don't bother looking at the 3:14 version that is being sold on iTunes. I wasted $0.99 to confirm this is not the correct version.

Here's a quote from J.R. to get everyone inspired - - "Anything worth having is worth going for - all the way."

We need this track! :)

I have 2 CD's with the Dallas Theme on them: "All-Time Top 100 TV Themes" and "Television's Greatest Hits 70's and 80's." Both of these versions are 1:20 and 1:15 respectively, so these versions are not the ones used in the loop. Sorry I couldn't help locate it, but maybe it will help you to know that you don't have to check these.

La Vita E Bella is, in fact, taken from The Life is Beautiful OST. Thus, all tracks for the DHS Main Entrance loop have been verified and my blog post has been updated accordingly. Still no luck on finding the correct version of the Dallas Theme. :D

I now have a lossless copy of the correct version, but still no information on where it came from. I have a request in to someone asking about the source of the track, so hopefully I'll have the information to complete the playlist soon. I know you guys (and gals) are anxiously awaiting this last piece of information. :mp3:

I never imagined I would spend several hours of my life trying to track down a version of the Dallas Theme. :D

It's a secret, so I have to keep the circumstances quiet. :cd: I am going to use this track to get all of the super-rare items I have been hunting for over the past 10 years. :D

It's done! Thanks to X-S Tech, the Dallas Theme comes from the CD "The Very Best TV Themes," performed by the London Starlight Orchestra.

The Harlem Nocturne track also comes from this CD, but it was also used on the "TV Hits Volume 3" CD, which you can download from iTunes.

I can finally sleep tonight!
