That's what C33 is for!We really do need some more Disneyland Loop Listers here don't we
Interesting, so my wife and I must have been high on the smell of churros and the chlorine fumes wafting from Splash Mountain as we heard the bluegrass style music in DL Critter Country last year! (2009) Some of the songs in the loop are “Old McDonald”, “Shortenin’ Bread”, “She’ll Be Comin’ Round the Mountain”, and the Splash Mountain songs (Zip, Laughin place, Sooner or later, Uncle Remus Said, etc). ALL OF THESE SONGS were in a BLUEGRASS style. Problem is, I can’t identify all of the songs. If anyone has information on this loop, please post. If it helps, we also heard this loop around the Hungry Bear. Thanks. The DL music does not use any of the bluegrass sounding music. I've said this before, but most of the WDWF tracks associated with Splash Mountain have never been used in WDW. Based on the short run time for the Critter Country loop, it seems most have not been used in DL either.
I guess, unless the music loop was changed somewhat recently.Interesting, so my wife and I must have been high on the smell of churros and the chlorine fumes wafting from Splash Mountain as we heard the bluegrass style music in DL Critter Country last year! (2009)
The Splash Mountain songs were used in the loop (a different style from WDW), but those first three songs are not in the DL loop I have. If you heard these songs, and based on your comment about bluegrass, then my guess is WDI installed the WDW version in DL at some point. I'll wait for C33 to confirm. Some of the songs in the loop are “Old McDonald”, “Shortenin’ Bread”, “She’ll Be Comin’ Round the Mountain”, and the Splash Mountain songs (Zip, Laughin place, Sooner or later, Uncle Remus Said, etc).
[entry=7]Here[/entry] is the WDW playlist. 10 of the 26 songs were not released on the Walt Disney World Forever system.ALL OF THESE SONGS were in a BLUEGRASS style. Problem is, I can’t identify all of the songs. If anyone has information on this loop, please post. If it helps, we also heard this loop around the Hungry Bear. Thanks.
See above. I know the playlist is still accurate. We also heard this loop in the Splash Mountain queue area outside of the ride at WDW. It was the part of the line that wraps around the tree 50 times. Hope someone has some information on this!
The Splash Mountain area music never plays at this location (it only plays in the queue/exit). What you hear is the general Frontierland loop, Home on the Range, starting around 1:33 to be exact.EDIT: On a different note, I just watched some new b-roll production footage WDWNews (the Walt Disney World publicity site) put out. When they zoomed over to the Splash Mountain sign, there was background music playing that was NOT the loop that was originally installed. Perhaps it was the Frontierland general BGM leaking over, but I can assure you it was not the music that typically plays. Go three-quarters of the way through the video, and turn your volume up.

I had a few people tell me the music is the same as what was played before.I asked a friend of mine who just visited Disneyland this week to report to me on the music. I asked her to tell me if she heard banjo/harmonica music or instrumental/cartoony music. She said the music was turned down low so they really didn't hear much, but added that she assumed it was the banjo music. Make of this what you will, but keep in mind that this person sent me a picture of the drained Rivers of America waterway and asked if they were building a monorail there.
