"Celebrate a Dream Come True Parade" Music

For those who have seen the parade (we just opened yesterday, I know), I am curious to hear the afficianados' thoughts on the music

Would love to hear what you all have to say! (I am just a humble performer, I didn't write or arrange the music, I take no personal offense to any and all criticisms, lol) :(

I saw it yesterday and really liked the music, even the show stop. There were some creative decisions made with the parade that I wasn't a fan of, but I thought the music and the performers themselves were both strong points.

I've never seen a day parade - how does "Celebrate a Dream Come True" compare to previous daytime parades?

Okay, but what's your take on the music?

Well,
I finally heard the music to the parade and i got to say "I LOVE IT"! It totally reminds me of the Share a Dream Come True Parade, combined with Walt Disney's Parade of Dreams from Disneyland. Although the floats are so so so so so Old, i really wish they would get new floats and new characters in the parade to change it up a bit still, the music can bring a dramatic change to the parade.! The music itself is done pretty neat, with Disney Medleys interwoven into the float corresponding to that film as the parade units pass by guests. And then finally a show stop which has the "Celebrate You" theme song which i absolutely love! Its a new arrangement and upbeat with feamale vocals totally remincent of Parade of Dreams with the performers waving flags, instead of the gold ribbons!!! Still the music proves to be very strong and wonderful so glad they changed it up a bit. I Cant wait to see Disneyland's Celebrate- A Street Party which opens in March i hope it will have the "Celebrate You" show stop in it as well!. Oh and Spectro Pluto you are magical in the parade! You guys work so hard to put on a magical event! A round of applause !!!=0)

I'll say this for now, because I haven't watched videos of the parade and don't want to ruin it for when I see the parade in person next week, but I have heard the music and I'm kind of put off by WDW's recent trend of cramming as many songs as they possibly can into every loop of their parade. The song for Celebrate A Dream Come True itself is very pretty but then it just becomes jumping through a disney soundtrack collection changing the tempo and rhythm of the loops left and right, though I at least still like it which is more than I can say for Once Upon a Christmastime where I only liked the intro and 1 of the 7 float loops.

Kind've silly to comment on my thoughts on the showstop.. it's very POD sounding because they were going to use it for POD of course but at least it's getting use somewhere.

If I don't stay long enough in Magic Kingdom on Thursday for the parade then I'll see it on Sunday for sure.

Okay, but what's your take on the music?

If I was just sitting and listening to it (even dancing to it keeps us on our toes!)... I love the way the songs weave throughout one another. I am a sap for classic disney tunes. Who know that you could mix Mary Poppins and Aladdin songs?? One of my FAVs, though, is the Neverland/Wonderland mix :p

The showstop is so upbeat and happy and I'm not sick of the "Celebrate You" song... yet. LOL

The girl singing on the showstop... I don't know her name, but I know that she is featured on the Disney Pop Dreamers on a few of the songs.

Overall, total thumbs up... hope it someday may get a commercial release (the parade music, I mean)!

Boy, you're not kidding! I just watched the thing on LP, and they blow through those songs like a machine gun! The theme has a very Disney Channel, teeny-bopper feel to it, and the classic tunes weaved in come and go way too fast. It's not a bad soundtrack at all, but definitely not as good as PoD or Share a Dream Come True.

I think this sums it up for me as well. The music was better than expected, but not something I'm going to listen to a lot.
