CARS - soundtrack preview

Hey there, Hi there, Ho there,

as I just posted over at the http://blog.mousekingdom.com/2006/05/16/5-free-cars-videos/ for all those of you interested in the upcoming soundtrack to Disney Pixar's CARS it might be interesting to learn that Disney and Pixar have released five FREE video podcasts, the fifth of which goes behind-the-scenes with Chris Montan into the recording sessions with musicians featured on the CARS soundtrack including John Mayer, Brad Paisley, Rascal Flatts and James Taylor.

Some of the others not only include new, exclusive scenes from the movie but also what I would expect are excerpts from the score.

Based on these snippets I am really looking forward to the soundtrack release - and not because I anyway enjoy the music of Brad Paisely and Rascal Flatts.

Hi, Dirk!

I've downloaded nearly all the videos. They're very well done. I can't wait to see the film.

I went ahead and pre-ordered the album through iTunes, mainly so I can get the music video and "digital booklet" (whatever that is). The Rascal Flatts song you get when you pre-order is the original version of "Life is a Highway," not the newer version that releases June 6.

Much of the soundtrack can be heard on the new Trailer that came out a few days ago. Sounds fantastic. I hope that's actual score being played during the "They don't know what they're missing" scene.
