What URL are you using?
You need the full URL www.Rodentsections.com (including the www) and not any other variation and, I think, the old (pre-Rodentsections) URL doesn't work any more .

Anyway, the sites fine. ;)

Are you getting any error messages like the site can't be found etc?
If you are, check that ol' URL.

Re: Anyone know what's up with MOUSEBITS?

I had the right address. But for some reason it just wouldn't come up. I have solved the problem. I use a MAC. I had to change the DNS settings, utilizing OPEN DNS. All is well now.

There is an instructional sticky on the forums there.
Here we go in simple terms.
Join Rodentsections,
Answer their email and validate the account.

Ok, you are now a member (you have probably already done this)

Look through the torrents to find the file you want. (In the top bar of the index page)
Download the torrent file you want.
Double click it to open it in your bittorrent client (Azureus, Utorrent or whatever) - or open your client and select ....file....open or similar.
The actual file will now download to your PC.
The torrent file itself only "points" to where (on Rodentsections) the file is held.
Done

Every time I click on it, it tries to open the file in my digital image program and I get an error message.

Re: Anyone know what's up with MOUSEBITS?

Do you have a bittorrent program?

You need one for these files. AZUREUS is good.

The torrent file you download from Rodentsections is not the file you play. You open that file with Azureus. Azureus then downloads the ACTUAL file you want. For example if you are downloading a movie, you download the torrent, open the torrent with Azureus, Azureus downloads the movie.

If you have more questions, check out the sticky in the forums at Rodentsections.

Re: Anyone know what's up with MOUSEBITS?

Then the file association for torrent files is wrong and has been snapped up by your image program (like trying to open an mp3 file with it) - hence the error message.
If you DO have a bittorrent client then you will need to right click the torrent file and, where it says "opens with......." select change and browse for the exe file for your client (eg Azureus.exe).
Or, right click on the torrent file you downloaded and select "open with" and, again, delect the exe file for your client.
What client are you using at the moment?

Re: Anyone know what's up with MOUSEBITS?

Also, once you have a torrent downloading, it's going to depend on how many other people are seeding. You are not actually downloading a file from one location. The bittorrent program is actually getting "bits" of the file from users all over the place and assembles the file once it's complete. Depending on how many people are seeding, and how big the file is, it can take quite a while to get one file.

Oops it's (Rodentsections) gone funny again (something about MySQL query error).
Anyone know what's happening at the moment?
I know many of you are on both sites.
May just be a little "tweaking" - hope so!
