Anybody in NYC should go to Book-Off

I was just there this afternoon and they had a lot of Tokyo DisneySea CD's. All of them were only $7 each, and they were all still sealed. They had almost every CD too. I saw...

Tokyo DisneySea Music Album
Tokyo DisneySea Theme Song
Porto Paradiso Water Carnival
Aquasphere Theme Music
DisneySea Symphony
Harborside Christmas 2002
Sail Away

They also had Disney's Dreams on Parade from Tokyo Disneyland's 20th Anniversary (still sealed). There were a few Japanese soundtracks too, like Beauty and the Beast, Mulan, Tarzan, and Hercules. Some really great finds! Usually they don't have this much stuff, but somebody must have unloaded a bunch of CD's on them.

For anyone interested Book-Off is a Japanese bookstore that specializes in used books and CD's. They are a great source. The store is located on 41st/ between 5th Ave. and Madison Ave.

Thanks for the info Ben! My husband and I are going to NYC the first (COLD!) week of January...I wonder if I can convince him to make a quick stop there .

I hope they still have them when you visit. It's still a great store anyway. They will probably have some of the foreign soundtracks though...those usually don't sell as fast as the park stuff. You should make another pit stop at Footlight Records while you guys are here too, they always have stuff.

Footlight was a favorite of mine when I lived in Staten Island. Eventually got to the point where I almost always had all of the Disney CDs they had to offer, though.

E-mailed my husband a copy of your mesage yesterday. His response was, "Um, OK...just let me rearrange the order of your gifts before we go, OK?" (Christmas is next week, we go to NY a week after that and my BD is March 14th ).

Hehehehe....update on our going to Book-Off. Here's Joe's e-mailed response to my suggestion of visiting there in January:

Sharon,

I think you already have all of these except for Harborside Christmas and Dreams on Parade. BTW, you don't really need to look for those in NYC either .

We can go to look if you want to.

Love, Joe

So mebbe we won't go after all.....
