Hey there, Hi there, Ho there,
the Disneyland Resort Paris released another new CD only weeks after their Disney Cinema Parade soundtrack!
The new CD is titled "La Musique de la Parade des Princesses" and contains the music of the Disney Princess Parade now running in the Disneyland Park. It costs 5.50 Euro and runs an astonishing 7:10 minutes!!
It does NOT contain the song "Dancin' (A Catchy Rhythm)" played while the parade moves, as this song was written for the Wonderful World of Disney Parade at DLP and is still available on numerous other CDs in the resort. Instead it only contains the instrumental scores of the floats played when the parade stops and the dancers perform - and not even complete as only the score of five of the six floats is included:
Snow White
Sleeping Beauty
Cinderella
The Little Mermaid
Beauty and the Beast
while the score for the Aladdin float is missing.
Each score is 1:42 minutes long and features especially recorded instrumental versions of the major songs and themes of the movie with a short "bridge" part (by Vasile Sirli) at the end. But "especially recorded" they were in 1992 as this music used in the "new parade" in fact reuses the scores written and recorded for the original Disney Parade in 1992, just that back then the music played while the parade moved past the guests while it now only plays when the parade stops. This may also explain why there is no music for Aladdin, as that one was not part of the parade in 1992.
The only track which had been released to the public prior already is the Cinderella track that was featured on the 10th anniversary CD.
Those interested in the complete soundtrack of the 1992 parade may want to take note that the scores for the Peter Pan float, the Jungle Book float and "Mickey's Shuttle" float were released on the CD "1997, The Year to be Here" for the 5th anniversary already (the Mickey's Shuttle float was also to be found on the CD "Une Journee a Disneyland Paris" (wrongly labeled)), while the scores for the floats of "Cinderella" and "The Little Mermaid" were released on the 10th Anniversary CD.
Yours sincerely
Dirk
