    "7 lands and more..."

After listening to "The Welcome Song" and its reference to "A castle leads the entranceway to 7 lands and more", I had to chuckle, given that we're down to 6 lands at the Magic Kingdom with the closure of Mickey's Toontown Fair. Do you think parts of the Fantasyland Expansion will be considered...

Lyrics for "At the Happiest Place on Earth"?

Does anyone have a source for lyrics for the song "At The Happiest Place On Earth", featured at Track #2 on the 2008 DL OA? Just curious because there are some phrases I haven't been able to audibly figure out :)

How Do You Catalog Your Park Music?

Here's how I repurpose iTunes to work with park music: iTunes Field --> Song Info =========================== Name --> Attraction - Title Artist --> Park/Hotel Resort Name Album --> Land (or ___ Other OR ___ Hotel, such as 'WDW Other' or 'DLR Hotel') Grouping --> Source Album Title (if...

Tracking Changes to the Official Albums

Which is why I've brought this project up to you guys, the experts... because it's a lot of work to do on my own :)

Tracking Changes to the Official Albums

I noted the debut of a track on LP in one color (green), with the debut of the same track on CD in a different color (red). It's considered the same track, but with the drastic improvement in quality, felt that it was important to note when a track went digital. After a track goes "red", any...

Tracking Changes to the Official Albums

As far as format, I started this project last year using Google Docs to visually illustrate the changes. Take a look This chart isn't complete or updated, but that's what I've been using as I go through the changes.

Tracking Changes to the Official Albums

Actually, this would be a valid change to note, since they are different tracks and versions. The evolution of Splash Mountain's tracks alone are notable. I think it would be beyond the scope to note, for example, if the same track was listed at 2:45 on one album, and 2:47 on another, when...

Tracking Changes to the Official Albums

Chiming back on on the official discussion here (sorry, life has been busy...) I guess when I started putting this project together, it was to answer the question "Do I need to buy "Official Album X" if I already have "Official Album Y" and "Official Album Z"?... what's different?" It would...

Tracking Changes to the Official Albums

My goal is to simply answer the question, "So what has changed on this Official Album?" Which then prompts the next question, "Well, if I'm looking for 'Song X', which albums did it appear on?" And hopefully do it in a quick-to-read form. B) It's defining the "universe of OAs" that needs to be...

Tracking Changes to the Official Albums

Personally, I'm leaning this direction. The idea of footnoting the origins of a song if it wasn't on an OA is a solid one and fits with the approach we're already doing. And frankly, I'd like to avoid the rabbit hole B)

Tracking Changes to the Official Albums

I've thought about returning to this project, as I haven't quite finished the chart with the changes. Couple thoughts I wanted to throw out to the community, however: 1. What is considered an "Official Album"? Are these just what we consider to be compilations from the parks? It's obvious...
