NEW O'Canada Film, first showing today at 11 AM :) Spoilers ahead

I agree with Club 33. It wasn't that I thought the music was bad per se, it was just "meh". It wasn't compelling to me atleast, knowing what Broughton is capable of in previous projects. Also, the Celine Dion joke and the Soarin joke were not needed.

NEW O'Canada Film, first showing today at 11 AM :) Spoilers ahead

I don't know, I'll have to go back and listen again. It's just that my first impressions were that I wasn't blow away or anything. The old score, even though it sounded "dated" by our standards, went with the picture much better somehow. Don't get me wrong, I love Broughton's work. I believe...

NEW O'Canada Film, first showing today at 11 AM :) Spoilers ahead

So, I called Disney to ensure that they would showing the new film, so I wouldn't drive there for no reason. They said, yes, it would be starting at 11 AM. Drove over and walked to Canada. The gentleman CM was in the middle of his spiel, mentioning he was from Newfoundland, yadda, yadda...

Since I'm going this weekend to see Timekeeper (maybe one last time, depending if it's closed at end of this month or next month), anyone have a idea how to maybe use the Radio Shack phone suction-cup device recording thingie to maybe grab a copy of the score? Or if ANYONE has a clean copy of...

    Your Holy Grail?

One word: TIMEKEEPER. Seriously, the WDW version is one of the best scores ever written for theme parks/ film, ever. Period. (No offense to fans of euro version, its nice, but its no WDW version.) I had the chance to bask in the sheer perfection of the music this past weekend at WDW while it...

    OT: Why I Love Soundtracks

Randy, I couldn't agree with you more about Williams. A few years back I had the distinct honor of meeting John Williams when he was down here in Florida guest conducting his music with the Florida Philharmonic. I was able to sit in on a rehearsal, and listen to him conduct his wonderful music...

Most wanted Disney musical CD soundtrack

I'm still tryin to find out who wrote the magnificent score to WDW's Timekeeper! I've asked WDW workers, called Walt Disney Records in California, webmasters of various theme park music sites, etc. and NOBODY knows. I believe Bruce Broughton wrote the score for the Disneyland Paris version...
