    Treasure Planet

Dirk and Mike bring up interesting points. I agree with Dirk but I find the criticism of many here John Reznik a little high handed. In TP's "skateboard" scene you NEED a rock song and JR did provide one. He has a pedigree with the Goo Goo Dolls, not one of my favorites, but a rocker...

    Treasure Planet

If you recall your history, Sleeping Beauty had a similar reputation as TP upon opening. It may be that years from now TP will have a classic feel to it. One of the problems is oversatuation of the genre. It makes folks think "Oh this again" instead of "Oh how cool". Jeff

    Treasure Planet

Treasure Planet the musical would have been better (more like Hunchback again). Treasure Planet the concept musical would have been good too if they would pony up for a box office draw. How cool would it have been to have the soundtrack done (or at least songs by) by U2, Bruce Springsteen...

    CountryBears Soundtrack

Yeah .. Iknow what you mean Bean, The pedigree is pretty good it's just they in no way honored the genius of one of the most widely seen shows of the last 30 years. WDP didn't even try to connect the show to the movie other than the typical synergistic "ideas" currently with theme parks vs...

    Bad Disney Music

I just have to break in on this melodic discussion. A couple questions to be thought provoking.. When was the last time you left a Disney movie with one of the songs stuck in your head? [With me it was Tarzan and for John Q Public probably Pocahantas or Lion King. I enjoyed the Elvis songs more...

    Bad Disney Music

Re:Fantasmic advice Many have said that the dessert buffet has went downhill lately. Haven't justified the expense myself. You should be OK with your HM strategy. Its worked for us in the past. You may want to be actually elbowing your way down front as the lights come back up though. We...

    Bad Disney Music

Bad Disney Music..... Anything they put on the Disney Channel over the last 3 years or more. Especially Live from [insert one of the parks here] it's "[some second rate teeny bopper act that could care less about the heritage behind the WDCo]". I guess it just reflects the managment. Jeff PS...

    OT: Walt: Man and Myth

Couldn't agree more Bill. I watched again my copy taped from ABC last Sept. (I am waiting on the DVD) It was one of the first non-news events shown after 9/11. Very appropriate, then and now.

    Lilo & Stitch - a first review

Jeesh...(embarrassed lokk on face) Thanks Shane .. I think. Maybe they have to sell them at Walmart to make the required cash to pay Graceland Inc., I'm sure Priscilla didn't give the Elvis songs away. One big happy corporate family. And sorry L&S fans. This is the first year since Pocahantas...

very OT: Doesn't this just read like the Disney of today?

PlutoGoodPaperBoy, Thanks for fessing up. I hear Disney has the same problem with the OC Register and the LA Times. Big advertiser, The only major studio owned locally, and gets all weepy when negative truths are reported. On the flip, I find the Times to be a bit more slanted away from Disney...
