My memory of Future World is as follows:
You'd hear the 1982 Entrance loop all through the entrance area, up the hills on either side of SSE, and through Communicore Central. It would start to fade out as you were leaving Communicore and heading to World Showcase.
No music in the Communicore...
I can add some info to this.
The CBJ sessions were recorded in 1971 on what amounted to "hi-def" sound technology... on 70mm multi-channel film. These were then mixed down into the LP version which is more or less the version from which all other versions are sourced.
There isn't much of a...
The rest has been identified! ^_^ Here's the full listing:
"Hawaiian Memories" by The Living Strings album Hawaiian Memories
"Blue Hawaii" by Al Caiola album "Solid Gold Guitar Goes Hawaiian"
"Stars Over Maui" by 101 Strings album In A Hawaiian Paradise
"Tune From Rangoon" by Martin Denny...
Wow, you guys are quick.
I was being careless last night and accidentally excerpted "Stars Over Maui" instead of the unknown Blue Hawaii. In any case, here's Blue Hawaii:

One thing that convinces me that this is the 1971 or 72 loop is...
Thank you Jay!
Okay, here goes. These are 30-second excerpts that I've uploaded to MediaFire. They never were especially good quality and still aren't; they come off 30-year-old cassette tapes, after all.
The first is a version of "Blue Hawaii". In this case the song is easy to identify but I...
Hey all;
So I've been in contact with a blog reader for about a week now who had the fortunate foresight to, in the early 80s, bring a tape recorder with them to WDW and tape a number of songs found in the Poly music loop. I've been able to identify some of these and in my opinion, these songs...
Hey Jay, several of the album versions you posted seem to run different times in the playlist. Do you know where the edit points occur? In the process of making some documentation of Fountain View last week, I noticed that the loop in situ generally edits the tracks together to flow together...
Hi folks;
I'm still working on my early Magic Kingdom audio projects and was wondering if anyone knows if the original (or Original-ish) Wagner tracks from the Florida WEDWAY Peoplemover have survived? The Disneyland tracks aren't too hard to come by, but what I really need is the Florida one...
Thanks anyway. :) I'd still love to hear your efforts when you can get around to it - I'll record some temp ambient sounds as well and we'll get this whole thing patched together. :)
A $400 recorder with microphones would certainly best my measly efforts! In the best situation, these would be fairly free of background din so as to be "mixable". Here's a full list:
Monorail overhead pass-by
Seven Seas Lagoon Ferryboat horn
Seven Seas Lagoon Resort Launch horn

Hey everyone;
Pretty much for my own amusement I've begun working towards putting together a couple of music tracks in a Magic Kingdom pre-EPCOT project. One thing I'd love to try to accomplish is to aurally rebuild something of the sound texture of areas long since gone, like how Caribbean...
Do you know if this was the music originally played in this area? I know the arrival of Under New Management brought with it a unique BGM loop for the FL holding area, so in theory this could be a "restoration" of the old music.
Hey there;
Sorry for the late response... my attendance at these music forums is a little spotty. :)
Sadly I don't think there's anywhere to find the original I'm Wishing used at MK anymore unless Disney releases a recording of the Mickey Mouse Revue, which is unlikely. There were also two...
In the last few years of the operation of the Adventureland Veranda, the Balfon Ensamble area loop / CD played in there, so if there's anything in there now, it's probably that area loop or the current Adventureland version. Nice thoughts but not likely, sadly. :rolleyes:
Eric;
The new film is very nice, and although it is not as great as the original version of the show, it is a totally different creature. I'd rather see something so different from the original version of the show as to be nearly totally unrelated than just another half-assed version of the...
Not to drive you even more crazy, Horizons, but I'm pretty sure that the Meadow area has another area loop... it has more Morricone in it, Once Upon a Time in the West, and definitley some Dances With Wolves as well....
I think it all depends on the age of the 78 and the player. I've heard a 1912 78 on an Edison and it sounded fantastic... please note I don't mean "Randy Thorton brings us nectar of the gods using zeros and ones" fantastic, but "people in 1912 shout into a hole in the wall" fantastic. As the era...
