    Disneyland Forever--Back???!!!

Yep, everything (touch screens, printers, burners, computers) were all removed July 29, 2002 (just in time for Print On Demand machines to be put in) and sold/scrapped/given away shortly thereafter. I believe a similar thing happened at Walt Disney World... -Jason

    Disneyland Forever--Back???!!!

That's good to hear, since that name was a joke off "Batman Forever" anyway! :) -Jason

    Discoveryland Area Music

    seeking Jack Wagner information

Here's an article from the Summer 1998 Disney Magazine: Jack of All Voices Jack Wagner: The Voice of Disney by Libby Slate What do Mickey Mouse, the Abominable Snowman, and the Orlando International Airport have in common? All have benefitted from the vocal talents of Jack Wagner, aka "The...

    Discoveryland Area Music

The "Fountain" loop, as it's known, was composed and performed by David Tolley, a Canadian musician. It was done specifically for Disneyland Paris and I believe it's just one big piece of music... though perhaps David has his own titles! -Jason

    Another Carousel of Progress Question

You're right; my mistake. Somewhere around here I have an e-mail with a few details about the track, but I can't seem to find it. I assume it was the exterior loop, but I don't really know for sure. I defer to the more knowledgeable group members! -Jason

    Recording Park Music...

To record Disneyland Paris loops (they have so many lovely planter speakers!) I used a Sony ECM-MS907 stereo microphone attached to a MiniDisc recorder. Just put it in the bushes and wait for an hour to pass! I did run into a little bit of trouble, however, when recording near Sleeping Beauty...

    Another Carousel of Progress Question

The load music is the "Kaleidophonic Opening" track that was available on Disneyland Forever. (Actually, the DLF track was at a much higher quality than what played in the Gallery; they kind of grabbed what they could find when putting together the loop, which resulted not only in subpar quality...

Firehouse 5+2 & the Mark Twain

Sorry, I seem to have implied it without actually stating it. Yes, it's the Firehouse Five Plus Two rendition! -Jason

Firehouse 5+2 & the Mark Twain

I know at least Milenberg Joys is used on the Mark Twain; I don't know about any other tracks. (Given that one is, it's certainly possible others were as well!) -Jason

House of the Future/ peoplemover Question

These are the 4 versions of the House of the Future narration I've heard: VERSION #1 Narrator: Welcome to Monsanto's plastics Home of the Future. As you entered this experimental model home, perhaps you noticed that the house itself is constructed entirely of plastics. Despite the graceful...

WDW, TDL, and DLP's Tomorrowland Loops

The Timekeeper theme also plays from the Observatron. (Oddly enough, the Timekeeper theme is played in *two* locations in Tomorrowland--Observatron and Space Mountain concourse--without the attraction ever being at Disneyland!) All the Observatron cuts are edited (I think to about a minute, but...

WDW, TDL, and DLP's Tomorrowland Loops

I would argue that the Innoventions exterior music is loud enough to be considered area music. :)

WDW, TDL, and DLP's Tomorrowland Loops

Yep, "Discoveryland Fountain Loop" is correct. Russell Brower told me that a few years back when I asked him about that music loop. -Jason

WDW, TDL, and DLP's Tomorrowland Loops

Disneyland Paris' Discoveryland has two music loops: the main one was composed by Canadian David Tolley specifically for the Park, and plays everywhere but around Space Mountain. The best way I've found to describe it is futuristic circus music... really neat stuff. The other loop is only about...

    Golden Dream question

If you don't care whether it's played in a theme park or not, there's another version on a CD called "America: The Golden Dream" (1996 Delos release). From the liner notes: 1. Golden Dream (3:05) Words by Randy Bright, Music by Bob Moline Choir and Piano Arrangement by Don Muller Instrumental...

    Main Street Loop

Hi Bill, I'm not sure Jack Wagner was involved in the current Main Street Music Loop. He certainly was involved in a few of the variants over the years, but by 1992 the job was probably being done by WDI. I doubt very much it was recorded for Disney, but as to whether it was every commercially...

    Tomorrowland 2055 tracks and stuff...

I guess it would also be helpful to note that the recordings are from two sources: the Epcot songs are from the original entrance loop, the Tomorrowland ones from a recording session specifically for the music loop. -Jason
