On January 16th More Albums Debut on iTunes

The problem is, that you do not need any expensive equipment to hear the compression noise. I managed to download the album (it took me some hours to find out how to do this, if you're not in the US), but have to say, that I'm unhappy with the product. The music is outstanding, but the sound...

    Cinderella re-issued

Has anybody yet heard, what the new "Cinderella" CD will consist of? I think, the original issue was quite complete, but I may be wrong.

    Aristocats CD?

Unfortunately, there is only less stuff of Maurice Chevalier out there. I think, he was a tremendous personality. I highly recommend (although I suspect, that you already own them, as you are a collector) the soundtrack albums to Gigi and Can-Can. Both of them have also performances by Louis...

    "NEW" BAMBI SOUNDTRACK CD!

How is the sound quality in comparison to the latest release? The score sounds fantastic on the DVD, but then, I do not know, if there have been any sound improvements on the CD, or if they have just been using the same master as for the former issue.

    Aristocats CD?

Hello! First of all, many thanks for the numerous helpful replies. They are really appreciated. Now, I know, for which I release I have to look out. Michael, here's a link to the amazon.de site. They list the international release of 'Aristocats' (/w score). I hope this helps you...

    Aristocats CD?

I see, that there are two CDs of the "Aristocats" around. One, titled the "EP version", which only runs for some twenty minutes and a second one, which seems to be part of the 'Classic Soundtrack Series'. So which one is the one with Maurice Chevalier's vocals and what is the difference (or...

    "NEW" BAMBI SOUNDTRACK CD!

Somehow unfortunate, that the disk does not contain any music bonus tracks, as (if I remember correctly), there have been some additional 'Bambi' tracks on a Japanese boxed set a few years ago.

"Mary Poppins Special Edition Soundtrack" Released on 11/16

Hello Randy! I didn't want to upset you. You and your team have done great work with the "Mary Poppins" set and with all the other great Disney music albums. Perhaps the mentioned sequence will be available, once the CD limitations are no longer are problem for music producers. This may...

"Mary Poppins Special Edition Soundtrack" Released on 11/16

Sorry, for bringing this topic up again. But the thing is, that I received my copy of this deluxe edition yesterday. The underscore is really outstanding (thanks that Disney cares for bringing this all to the public). Unfortunately, I had to notice, that the Overture still remains edited. I...

off-topic (no, definitely ON-TOPIC): Upcoming album from 'Aladdin' performer

I just found this out, while browsing through the web: Brad Kane (now Caleb Kane), the singing voice on the "Aladdin" cast album will release an album of his own music by April. Meanwhile, some selections can be downloaded through itunes and a free selection is available from the following...

    The Black Hole

Hello! From time to time, members from other message boards mention, that John Barry's score to "The Black Hole" has never been put on CD by Disney and that Disney is currently not interested to do so. I wanted to ask, if anybody knows further details about this. I guess, there would be quite a...

    20 CD Boxed Set

Ben, many thanks for the track listing! Really appreciated. Let's hope, that some of these tracks will appear on upcoming DVD issues. I really would appreciate an audio vault (as on some Warner DVD's) instead of these senseless "adventure games".

Stereophonic "Lady and the Tramp" tracks?

First of all, I would like to thank for all those helpful replies! Concerning mono to stereo upmixes: As you may know, M-G-M has been recording using multiple microphones through the scoring stage. The signal picked up from these microphones has been recorded on several optical tracks --...

Why doesn't anyone use CD Protection methods?

Interestingly, my copy-protected CDs from Sony and BMG do not play in CD players, but can be ripped from my CD-ROM drive. So, I have to copy the CD before I can listen to it. Makes just perfect sense...

    20 CD Boxed Set

As this is a reply to a rather old topic, I thought, I'd better include the original message: "Yes, this is the set I mentioned a few months ago. The material on the soundtracks is indeed the material of the Classic Soundtracks. The additional unreleased stuff are demos that I fully restored but...

Stereophonic "Lady and the Tramp" tracks?

I just wondered, if anybody else noticed this. I re-listened to my "Lady and the Tramp" album and noticed, that there aren't any stereo tracks on the album, although Randy Thornton's producer's notes say: "Though the entire production was a monophonic recording, these separated elements allowed...

    Classic Disney soundtracks discontinued!

:-I have spent the last days with trying to enlarge my Disney soundtrack collection. Unfortunately, many of the classic titles are discontinued. As I see, "Pinocchio", "Dumbo" and "Peter Pan" are no longer available from amazon.com! Does anybody in here know, if there are any plans to re-issue...

    Classic Disney Composers

:)Hello! Thanks for the help! Unfortunately, this site pays tribute to more recent composers like John Williams and James Horner. Actually, I'm looking for information about the Disney composers of the very first hour (Frank Churchill, Steinert,...) Regards, Stefan
