Hey there, Hi there, Ho there,

as I just posted over on the Mousekingdom Blog http://blog.mousekingdom.com/2007/05/05/pi...k-first-listen/ Soundtrack.net has (just as with PotC II) scored an exclusive first listen of the soundtrack release for Pirates of the Caribbean III, complete with snippets of all 13 tracks of the CD and track by track description. Based on this the score promises to be really interesting - and with 56 minutes a rather long score release.

Swung by WalMart today (only because my route to Target was blocked by the local parade) in search of light bulbs and discovered some surprise booty there: the PotC3 CD. Three days before it's official release date (and hours before I make the trek to Disneyland and see what I can see of the red carpet premiere there)! ;D

Listening to it right now on my iMac. Browsed the above-mentioned review when it come out last week or so. Finding the soundtrack to be much less "adventurous" on themes, more mature, thoughtful. Honestly I didn't mind the pop sound of the first and loved the themes in the first two soundtracks. This one just seems less upbeat and heroic than I expected, after the first two. I'm sure this'll grow on my a bit more, esp. after watching the flick.
