I really hope the Disneyland version does not have that cover...i'd prefer a straight Disneyland cover....since its our park hitting the big 50.

You would think they could at least use Sleeping Beauty Castle for the cover for the CD celebrating DL's 50th.

I would presume that this cover is for the national 1 disc release. It probably doesn't focus on Disneyland, but rather music from the new attractions/shows featured at all four resorts, some "generic" music heard all four resorts (Pirates, Mansion, small world, etc) and the LeeAnn Rimes celebration track. I guess marketing sees this as an opportunity to sit the CDs out in the record stores, away from the parks, and it would serve as a "get your butt back to the parks and see all the new stuff" advertisement.

Our holy grails (6 disc Disneyland and 2 disc Walt Disney World CDs) will have to wait until we actually get to the park. I bet the 6 disc Disneyland set that will eventually be released nationally will be a hard find. MAYBE you'll catch one of the 3 the local Disney Store will order, or maybe wou'll have to go get your local Borders to order it for you. :p

Of course, everyone here will be phoning DelivEARS the day its released, because we all want that golden vinyl... even if most of us don't have a player to listen to it on anymore. :)

I have no idea about the last two tracks:
    14. Make a Wish - (Kevin Sharp)
    15. Wishes - (Peabo Bryson/Kimberley Locke)
Who could tell me where these two songs come from??
    Thanks a lot. :)

Make a Wish- was this composed just for this CD or is it the Jonathan Barr version? Thanks!

Kevin Sharp brand new song: Make A Wish and a compilation CD feat. James Taylor and Bette Midler

Kevin Sharp brand new song "Make A Wish" and a compilation CD feat. James Taylor and Bette Midler for Walt Disney Records.

Walt Disney Records is set to release a powerhouse compilation CD that will include the brand new song, "Make A Wish," by country star Kevin Sharp.

Additional platinum-selling artist's involved with the project are James Taylor, Elton John, Bette Midler and Barbara Streisand to name a few.

The album, titled "Walt Disney Presents Wishes," arrives in stores May 3rd and all proceeds benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Kevin is currently in the studio with producer and industry veteran, Jerry Cupit, putting the finishing touches on his upcoming yet-to-be-titled album slated for release on Cupit Records early this summer.

Also, listen for Kevin's new single, 'Your Love Reaches Me', that has been shipped to radio with an add date of March 14th. The music video is scheduled to be filmed at several locations around Nashville in mid-March.

If I'm not mistaken, she encountered some sort of unfortunate vocal accident that rendered her unable to sing - though she did manage to sing a little in that second Princess Diary movie. Don't ask how I know that - just know that I am completely heterosexual.

Well...if you weren't, you'd know that Julie has had an operation to reclaim her voice which was "successful". Though she still sounds like a truck driver to me.

The information and songlists for these CDs have been posted at the Disney website since around the time the 6-disc set was released:

    http://disney.go.com/disneyrecords/50th/

The site also has a great 10 minute music sampler of selections from the 6-disc set.
