Big Thunder Mountain area loop

Hi all! You'll be pleased to know that I figured out how to work mIRC and am now feeling like a little kid in a candy store! It's definitely an eye-opening experience for me.

Anyway, I've been looking at all the great area loops that people have compiled - and I've noticed one track off of the Big Thunder loop is consistently missing - both on people's lists and website listings of the loop. It's "West o' the Wide Missouri" from The One and Only Genuine Original Family Band. I was so excited to hear this song being played while waiting for this attraction - but now I almost feel like I was hearing things! :- Does anyone know if this track just has never surfaced to the music collector world - or if there is another reason for its repeated absence?

To answer your question, I have a 55-minute recording of the WDW Big Thunder Queue BGM and "West of The Wide Missouri" is quite definitely the first song on the loop...

How does one get hooked up that way just out of curiosity?

 

do ya mean to IRC? Simply download mIRC (assuming you are using windows, not sure of a good mac or *nix client). Then it should prompt you for setup details. The network is newnet i believe, and the channel is #disney-central. You can do a search on here for more info if thats wrong.

Yes...on both of them even...

Some of the other Big Thunder tracks were also featured on this set and are in good quality.

 

Treasures of Fantasy... Hmm... I'll have to check that set out - is it still available? I'm not familiar with it.

And you'll need to know somebody in Japan, or know a way to get it from Japan...

 

A friend of mine is going to Japan this week. Where can the set be bought and how much does it cost?

The set can only be purchased from the Tokyo Disney Resort. It's not availible outside. It costs 29,000 Yen, or about $250. If your friend is going to the Tokyo Disney Resort, tell him to check at Bon Voyage outside of Tokyo Disneyland (but I'm not 100% positive that that store carries it).

 

There is also an older version of the set that was availible outside of the resort, but good luck finding that! It was released in 1996 and is very hard to find. If your friend is not going near Tokyo Disneyland, tell him to check lots of used record stores throught Tokyo, and he may get lucky. Otherwise, get the new set directly from the resort.
